One day i was chatting with Dave of Aerostar when we discovered we both have a thing for aerobatics. Just as casually as you’d mention the weather, Dave drops, “Yeah, I’ve got a Yak-52. I’ll show you sometime”
Fast forward to a random arvo, Dave strolls into the classroom and asks if I’m done flying for the day. I’m like, “Yay, how can i help?” He just grins and says, “Come with me.” We head over to a hangar few blocks away, and damn there it is his Yak.
The nose art is a Russian Bare Girl, a slick nod to the Russian Bear. badass yet cheeky.
Owning a warbird is on a whole other level of cool.
